93.1 nash

While RD was on hiatus, WDRQ, 93.1 formerly Doug FM, flipped to the Cumulus NASH Country Music format. They transitioned over Christmas playing a 'Country Christmas' format and were killed in the ratings. The next book will be the one that tells if they have any chance of making a dent in WYCDs ratings.

That they were, but they lacked the effort Cumulus is putting behind NASH. I'm not saying NASH will beat WYCD, only that they have a shot to knock off some of its share. The next book will give a good initial indication, but it will be the changes Cumulus makes from then on that will decide if the format will work in Detroit or not.
