93.1 WEZW Transmitter Move?

According to Radio-Locator, it shows that 93.1 WEZW has moved their transmitter from the tower just off GSP Exit 4 (behind the Off Shore Motel) to the transmitter on New Jersey Ave in Wildwood.....Any reason why they decided to move?

EZ-93, South Jersey's Timeless Favorites (assuming the FM station with the WCMC calls aren't willing to relinquish them, not without a hefty pricetag)?

Why pay for tower rent when you own a tower just a couple miles away?

Wait a minute, the antenna was moved FROM the tower he owned in Rio Grande at Exit 4B (WAIV 102.3) to another that covers more fishes, and doesn't own? Someone straighten me out.

The tower in Rio, former home of 101.7 WRIO, then 102.3 WSJL, WJSX, WSAX, WMID-FM, WAIV, etc.
is owned by Nancy Shumacher, former owner of WSJL, and current wife of tower leasing mogul
Len Stevens. Anyone on there now is a tenant.

The NJ Avenue tower in Wildwood, former home of WCMC-TV Channel 40 and 100.7 WCMC-FM and
WNBR, is owned. 93.1's original construction permit was on that tower too.

so to answer your question.... in less than 100 words... no... Gary does not own the tower off of exit 4b, he owns the tower on NJ Ave, so he's moving it from a leased tower to an owned tower... (no offense Tom...) ;-)

For a small skinny tower that tower in Rio Grande has plenty of stations.......Along with 102.3 WAIV it is home to translators 92.3 W222AL, 95.5 W238BL, & 97.9 W250AK.......My question is that there is a tower on the corner of Seashore Rd & Townbank Rd in Cape May that has a single bay trasmitter on it.......I know its not 101.5 WCFA-LP since they are broadcasting from the Wildwood Crest water tower.....The only station I think it could be is 101.9 W270BG which has not signed on yet.

There's a question I have had for a while: 95.5 was to, I believe, relay the WXXY Network at one point. Is that even on and, if so, what is it broadcasting? I do know, however, the XXY translators and 1600AM/Dover signal are up for grabs (according to broadcaststationsforsale.com)

If the antenna you are talking about is near a school or school admin building,
it's a wireless WAN link, not an FM antenna, although it looks like one.

Is this the two bay on the very top of the WCMC tower that I had spoke about over a year ago....and no one knew what the two bay FM was for....

Thanks Tom....I knew you would be the one that knew what that was!

Yes 95.5 is on but I am not sure what they are broadcasting since I never listened for a long enough period to catch an ID........However, I am pretty sure they are translating 88.7 WXXY (which is now WGXM).......97.9 W250AK was translating WXXY but I believe they are now translating 98.5 WZFI-LP Bridgeton which sounded like a CCM format.
