93.3 HD-2 (again)

I posted this question a few months ago but this weekend I will actually *be* in Dallas with my Recepter and would like to know.....

is 93.3 HD-2 still running the "All 90s" "Energy" format?? Really the only thing I'm interested in on the radio over there.

What...No one can answer this for me??

I know there's at least *one* person with an HD radio in Dallas, that reads the Dallas board.

Unlike other stations broadcasting in HD.... for their 93.3 HD-2 channel, Cumulus neither has a Station Moniker ID displayed, or any song / artist info coming across. Just doin' radio the way they want to do it.... :D They do have voice-over that states:

"Everything 90's --- Everything 90's -- This Is Energy"

NOTHING about HD radio on the 93.3 website that I could easily find....

Just goes to show how little stations care about the HD channels. As long as their main signal is on the air, that's all that matters. HD is toast.

It does give you an indication of how little attention is paid to these signals.
We used to listen to 99.5 "the vibe" when it was on and liked it but it would go dead often.
I'd call in to the KPLX engineering department to let 'em know and it was like "..oh, yeah, guess you're right..." and boom, it'd be back... You'd think they'd at least have someone monitoring or put a silence sensor on 'em....
NOW...I wonder what it'd take to get them to let ME program one of their HD-2 signals...I've got a format that would be fun.(yes, I would monitor it!)

Heck I could program one and it would be radio the way it should be,,Mike Shannon could program one as well Along with Steve it would be radio competition once more with quality, energy, and fun. ..........nah too logical.

And Steve and Mike would share a grand total of less than 2500 people with an HD radio in D/FW.

I too seemed to have trouble at my brother's car audio place In North Richland Hills. It was bouncing and skipping and very unlistenable. This was in December but Since I'll be moving and will be at the shop I assume alot, I'll keep checking, (Since I dont have the funds for an hd radio)
