Now I go from the FM band over to the AM band to listen.
Not as convenient for me.

shoot the Analog isn't all that great.

Why do you prefer listening to it on FM?

AM is very noisy on my AV receiver because of its close proximity with other electronics, so in the past I've listened to Ed Wallace's Sat morning program on the HD-2 channel, that seems to be no more. Any recent info on this?

It's probably shut down for routine maintenance. Not the first time it happened with this and other radio stations broadcasting in HD.

The KLIF ID still says "KLIF-AM Dallas-Fort Worth, KLIF-FM HD2 Haltom City, KKLF-AM Richardson" blah, blah, blah. Don't think they'd keep it in there if it was gone for good.

The Ticket was still using the KKLF call in its ID for a while after 1700 stopped simulcasting it and switched to KLIF about a year ago. So there's some lag time in updating those, it seems.
Those that wanna listen to smooth jazz on the go (can't get that on regular radio in this market anymore).dfwupallnight said:On a related note, who the hell listens to "HD" (AKA the god-awful IBOC) radio?

Although I do listen to that station sometimes, not everyone in DFW can get that signal. Look at their coverage map.dfwupallnight said:texasstooge said:Those that wanna listen to smooth jazz on the go (can't get that on regular radio in this market anymore).
What about KNTU? Granted its not "smooth" jazz, but the playlists are solid and they ACTUALLY take requests. (As an Alum, I may be just a little biased.)

Yeah, I get that, I'm actually pretty familiar with the coverage map, it's only an approximation though; actual coverage is more in line with the purple or "distant" reception ring. I can hear it clearly in downtown Dallas as well as most of Ft. Worth.
My point was more to the fact that they exist as one of the few remaining jazz stations in the country RIGHT HERE IN DFW.
