93.3 started Christmas music this afternoon

No Friday Night Girls for Delilah. She announced the start of holiday music.

Of course, we won't know until after midnight Monday if this will be continuous.

So help me...If it is, Sunny had better keep it fresh. Otherwise, we'll all be throwing out our radios by mid-December.

Looks like sunny is aware though...they have a banner on their site claiming to be "Columbus's Christmas Music Station" I would think they will flip the santa on very soon...if not monday next weekend after their Christmas "preview" weekend!

If they were smart they would not play Christmas music until at least Fri Nov 23. I can't speak for everybody but I know several people who hate hearing Christmas music before Thanksgiving is even begun! I feel sorry for the poor DJ's, at least we can change the channel!

If 93.3 wants to bring up the rating & beat WSNY then don't play Christmas music yet. Maybe even wait until the first week of Dec. I'm willing to bet that a lot of WSNY listeners will switch to 93.3 and stay with the station!

Christmas music is the only thing that gets ratings for 93.3, which of course isn't the least bit surprising given what their regular "format" is like.  So, as long as they remain determined to waste that signal the rest of the year, it's hard to argue against an early segue to Jingle Bells.

I heard The River announce that they won't play Christmas music until after Thanksgiving. Sounds like they think like I think. Good to know some stations have the chutzpah to do this. Should never cross fade holidays.

Or to paraphrase Ghostbusters....

Dr. Egon Spengler: There's something very important I forgot to tell you.
Dr. Peter Venkman: What?
Dr. Egon Spengler: Don't cross the holidays.
Dr. Peter Venkman: Why?
Dr. Egon Spengler: It would be bad.
Dr. Peter Venkman: I'm a little fuzzy on the whole "good/bad" thing here. What do you mean, "bad"?

Dr. Egon Spengler: Try to imagine all life as you know it stopping instantaneously and every molecule in your body exploding at the speed of light.
Dr. Ray Stantz: Total protonic reversal!
Dr. Peter Venkman: That's bad. Okay. All right, important safety tip. Thanks, Egon.
