My advice to Scott Strong & Dan Bennett, stay away from KZPS. Play music that the Eagle used to play like Limp Biskit and other harder bands the Eagle used to play and dump that classic rock (BLEEP) they have on there now.

Agreed..there is definitely a void where the Eagle was and they would probably be able to actually make some money.
______________

No he's not, what will happen when Cox owns this station? I know they have a couple of good rock stations in both San Antonio and Tulsa that's doing real well in the ratings better than The Bone.

Cox also owns KKYX and KONO one classic country and one oldies and both are doing very well, especially KONO in San Antonio. A Yellow cab disapatcher would have a better cume than the Bone. The question for the last few years remain, How does Scott manage to keep his job. The only logical answer so far, The station is a tax write off.

Cox however does not do well with their stations in Houston (if you read the Houston list, you will see the complaints there)...for some reason, they do better in SA (possibly because they have owned them longer and have had better results with them before becoming a mega corp like CC)..

If it's true, you might as well flip to active rock.

I feel your pain too. But think of it this way, Strong is a bad PD as we all know. Every time I hear Velvet Revolver makes me think "add Disturbed, Sevendust, Mudvayne, System Of A Down, etc." instead of shoving that "Rocks Harder" to our heads over and over again and go back to playing classic rock. If they want to rock harder, play new bands. I hope if Emmis takes this station, flip to modern rock or give it to Cox and flip to active rock. The Edge now these days sounds painful being the only new rock station here.
______________
