93.3 tower destroyed

They likely have insurance to cover the damages and even business interruption insurance which will take care of loss of income for some time. What matters is nobody got killed or seriously injured. It's only radio after all...

When they filed for STA extension on April 1 the application said they expected to be done with new tower by mid May. I also see that today they filed to make the current STA site their AUX facility so this time they will have an AUX facility available. The STA signal turned out better for me that I expected and got my HD3 most of the time.

I thought i was noticing a bolder signal on 93.3 but could not confirm but I just checked out the Joy instagram page that they are back on at full power from the rebuilt tower after 16 months.
It was a long time ... Jan, 2023 to May, 2024 -- 476 days. The tower crew is still cleaning up the site. It was a massive project just to clear out the tangled tower and guy wires as well as trees that were leveled by the tornado.
