93.5/96.7 "The Max" - Alexandria/Hartford City?

Tonight I was listening to 93.5 FM, normally known as WHTY-FM. Strangely, the music is running non-stop. No live D.J. No commercials. Nothing.

The only time I heard a voice was what sounded to be a recording of Sean Spence who gave out the call letters "WMXQ/WMQX." This also caught my attention as these aren't the call letters that I remember. So I took note of the different call letters. But strange that it is non-stop music (not that I am complaining.) It still shows Sean Spence on the staff, but I'm wondering what's going on or if he will be voice tracked.

I hadn't listened to the station in the night time in a few weeks so just wondering if there are some changes or something, outside of the call letters? Has this happened any other night I wonder?

"MAX"...changed it's call letters at midnight on Sunday, July 12th. I can't speculate as to why they changed them or future plans for the station. To my knowledge, Sean Spence Overnights has always has been pre-recorded.

If you heard non-stop music (and little else) in the overnight, it's probably just the engineer making adjustments to the music delivery system. That's my guess, anyway. A BYB-er can prolly fill in the blanks for ya.
