93.5 KDAY The "Debt" Relief Station

Listening to Theo's late night tracked shift (horrible), I heard NO spots other than debt relief, credit counseling, purchase products without credit check, check cashing. Sometimes I heard more than one debt counseling spot back to back. What kind of quality listener do they have?

this is probably why:

like so many frequencies nowdays, 93.5 is being run as automatic cash producing jukebox outlet, not really meant to be listened to by anyone, just as long as they can bill enough to brng the cash in. Why else to you think a southeastern company like Magic would decide to own two stations so far away from their home base?

okay, let's think about that for a second:
if you controlled Magic, would you rather stay close to home and operate in Dothan, AL or Panama City...
or try to be successful in the big-leagues? I don't think they care about being close to home...just trying to
make some decent return. Too bad they grossly overpaid to be in Los Angeles...or rim-shot it anyway.

I've noticed this too. Other stations in the market also run a buttload of spots for things like "bargain" plastic surgery, which sound nearly as bad as the debt relief spots. Is radio time getting harder to sell or something? I can remember when radio stations actually used to turn down circus-like ads that made the station sound bad.
