Reynolds/Brantley/Great south/Valleydale/R3 is just doing the bare minimum to keep the transmitter modulating to keep the license alive. It'll be dark again in a few days

stumbled upon it late friday afternoon playing a very good mix of oldies music, with a few liners ID'ing the station as WPHH Hope Hull, no dj (atleast in the 5pm hour i heard.

Sounds like a semblance of regular programming is on. I guess Montgomery has its 843rd attempt at oldies. Does sound good.

Jog my memory a bit...
This was WRJM 93.7C1 Geneva. They went bankrupt and The Radio People bought it. The Radio People moved this station to 93.5A Hope Hull to stay under the ownership cap for Dothan. When and why did Brantley buy WPHH?

Brantley bought it and then moved it to Hope Hull as far as I can tell. But the application filed for the initial move has Gulf South's name on it…

I haven't heard any commercials yet except Alexander Shunnarah (he's on every billboard erected) after Yellowhammer News. The music is great. Some that haven't been heard in this market since they they were hits.

i have heard some commercials, mostly PSA's, there are also a few liners with a construction sfx in the background talking about building something new that kind of makes me think the oldies format is a stunt until the real format is ready??
