93.5 The Beat L.A. KDAY No Color Lines New Logo

WHAT THE HELL ARE ROY AND THEO SMOKING?

Man, I thought Tom Joyner on KKBT was bad, but Glenn is right, this will just confuse the hell out of everybody.

I hope Roy ain't reading this, we'll probably hear the TJMS from 3a-6a next.

My first reaction was OMG! Who in their right mind would use the former logo of a station and add a second legendary station on top of it? One of the silliest things I've ever seen done as far as radio logos go. The whole thing is just way too "busy" to start with.

They need to be one or the other, KDAY or The Beat, of which they will never be either.

Horrific. They've done it again. Now the've ruined the history of two once great radio stations.

;D hmmm ... I can see a trend developing here...how about "K-BIG plays better love songs on the coast" ;D

KDAY's new image is an example of childish desperation on the part of a stoned management.

The logo is too busy, but the idea of resurrecting "The Beat" may not be a horrible idea. It's a good way to welcome the old V100 listeners.

For the next few months, let us see what they'll write down in the diaries, FM 92 The Beat, 92.3 The Beat, 100.3 The Beat, V100 or 93.5 The Beat of L.A. KDAY.

Make it one or the other or my vote, something new that doesn't have a past you're trying to rape.

I don't think the logo/slogan has nearly enough to it. How about "Jammin' K-93.5 FM, KDAY, The Beat of L.A. -- Harvey, Hip Hop and R&B. No Color Lines!"

Won't a lot of the trouble go away once PPM goes online?

wow that logo is horrible. it looks like a wannabe rappers chain with the sporatic "diamonds" all over it.

sad thing is people are going to put that on their cars.

^^^^

I'd slap that on my car - but only for the novelty of it. I must agree it's a pretty logo. Maybe if they dropped the KDAY off it ... or at least minimized it.

I believe they call that "bling." ::)

Like most stations, about 80% of diary mentions will be based on "93.5," the dial position.
