93.7 Mix Master Mixing on 96.5

DJ KG a Mix Master on HOT 93.7 is Mixing on sister station 96.5 TIC tonight. It's part of their Wayback Weekend. They are running liners "The Wayback Weekend Mix with DJ KG". Thus far its been mostly disco. They're also running some of the "KG" liners that they during the music when he's on 93.7 I wonder if this is a pre-recorded mix show becuase I haven't heard him on the air at all. When he's on HOT 93.7 he talks. (Except for the 7AM Shower Mix which is pre-recorded)

Isn't this the same station which proudly proclaimed "The Rap Is Gone!" in a 1994 ad campaign? Maybe if they went back to being a Top 40 station like the old days, I MIGHT just start listening to them again? ???

Wait a minute, are you really holding a 1994 ad campaign against them in 2006?.........2006? Something they did 12 years ago, you're gonna bring up now? Oh my! Good news Kevin, I just spoke with the execs at TIC, and they WILL go Top 40 in the hopes that you MIGHT start listening again...Boy, that is good news!! The only things is, in 2018 you can't throw this back in their face...

::) Sorry...I felt like venting.

;D I feel better now.

Seriously, if I want to hear a Hot AC station, I'll listen to WHYN-FM 93.1 in Springfield. They seem to do a better job.

Isn't Hip Hop and CHR/Rhythmic the same now? As are the other CHR/Rhythmic CBS Radio stations Wild 98.7, and WPGC 95.5 as these two stations also use the same voice for promos, etc.

As for 96.5 TIC I do see they added some Rhythmic songs to the list as of late. Looks just like how Mix 98.5 in Boston is. But still 96.5 TIC does do good in the ratings.

under your plan , which doesnt make a lick of sense, tic would drop all rtyhmic music. in that market, that wouldnt make sense!!!

Rex, for a long time they did drop all the rhythmic music. And they suffered for it.

I agree, bringing back more rhythm would be a great idea. But they should keep it on the adult side.

I remember back in the 80s (or 90s???) when 96.5 played nothing but R&B,oh my,it was wonderfull!!!!!!!!!

I remember hearing "Is it good to you" and all kinds of other stuff i loved!!!
