93.7 The Fan: Change-Fix-Maintain?

Now that 93.7 The Fan has a premiere property with the Pirates rights, there is opportunity to really secure their place as the go to station for sports in Pittsburgh.
If you were in charge at 93.7 what would you do?
Would you make major changes?
Would you maintain what you have now?
Would you make small adjustments?

My problem with the current lineup is that listening to 93.7 The Fan to me is like watching a truck stuck in the mud, it is just spinning it's wheels but never get's anywhere.
They just talk and talk but never say anything, no real hard opinions, no consistency, they contradict themselves and each other throughout their shows.
I feel like I'm wasting my time when I listen, waiting for someone to make a point but they never do, it's a mental treadmill that get's nowhere.
They sometimes go halfway to making a point then stop to let the "local fan" ramble on incoherently.

IMO, they need one strong personality that can carry a show and be lightning rod.
Someone sports fans in town mention by name, "did you hear what [sports talk guy] said?"
WFAN in NYC has Francesa, WIP in Philly had Eskin. 93.7 has no one, just a constant droning.

I do listen to the FAN on most work days, though I will sometimes listen to Marty Griffen on KDKA AM if theres a breaking news story. I don't like to stream on my work pc or else I would listen 970.

If you were to go back a year or so and see a similar discussion, I think the problems I had with the Fan back then are still the problems I have with it.

To be fair, the morning show has gotten a lot better with Gianotti being more prominent and Alexander being pushed back.

Also, over the past year the FAN has brought in more guests, particularly national experts, and that has helped. While the focus is still 96% on Pittsburgh sports (ie almost no discussion of MLB playoffs, for instance, even when there were Pittsburgh angles), as least the national guests bring some perspective.

The main problems remain, though: there is (at least) one person who hurts every single show. Bag Alexander, Vinnie, Seible, Miller and Filliponi and the station improves. Can't comment on Muller since I don't listen a lot when he's on.
