93.7 The Wave Remote

Saturday morning 9/29 while tuning in to 93.7 to hear "AT40 - The 80's", I was surprised (pleasantly) to hear The Wave doing a live remote from Ellsworth's Autumn Gold Days. Considering the weather (not great), I'd like to say that Joe McMillan did a great job in promoting the event and bringing guests on at almost every break. The breaks were tight, informative and the remote setup that the Wave has was excellent, almost studio quality. Great job to all involved.

Hey Maine-i-ac. Thank you very much for tuning in for our Autumn Gold remote and for your encouraging words. I can tell you that it really was a team effort and that Joe and Arthur are true professionals that really care about doing great local radio. Bringing community events, such as Autumn Gold, to our listeners throughout the Downeast area is an important part of our commitment to be a community resource.

Thanks, again, for your ongoing support and for providing feedback that will help make us the best station that we can be.

I enjoyed listening to the WAVE on vacation this summer. Sounded good all the way from Bar Harbor to the border at Campobello Island. Liked the wrapped station vehicle, saw it while in Jordan's. Is streaming a future possibility?

Hey jsi, Glad that you enjoyed the station while you were here. Streaming is on the way. We are putting the final touches on our website and one of the things that we are currently testing is our new player. Once everything is up and running, I will let everyone know.

Take care and thanks again.

I'll second this. Joe live sounds great (WNSX was also there and sounded good too). I know I (along with a couple others) on this board have piled on Joe for his endless self promotion but I'll give him credit for this: Live Joe is pretty damn good.

You can be forgiven Maine-i-ac. Our station is right across the street from Jordan's in Bar Harbor (I'm pretty sure that is where he saw the station vehicle) and I walk across the street for lunch all of the time. Now I'm hungry, thanks for that.

You are close, forevernight.

We are actually in the Bar Harbor Municipal Building.

Not sure why you would want to date a high school, but hey, who am I to judge? Unless of course you thought it made you sound old, in which case, I would just tell you that I hear that all of the time from people that don't strike me as being over the hill (unless you count my Father-in-law. Rocks call him "Sir" when he walks down the street) ;D I am told that we now occupy the space that used to be a Home Ec. room. I'll bet you that none of the kids down here cooking ever thought that we would be using it as a radio station.

Well, it did stop being a high school before I would have graduated there, so at least I've got that going for me! Good luck with your new enterprise.

Thank you very much. We have really enjoyed all of the feedback from everyone on this board. Take care and enjoy your weekend (hopefully semi rain free).
