93.7?

This morning, in Fort Lauderdale, on my little cellphone FM radio, I picked up 93.7 pretty clear. It was broadcasting 94.9 and it showed that on the attached "text" on the phone. Is this a translator or some harmonic of Mega?

Probably due to a not very selective FM section in your phone. You might be close to their transmitter.

I cannot explain this, especially as reading 94.9....but I assure you, 93.7 is an IBOC-covered frequency in the metro, thanks to Clear Channel's WMIA.

There are 93.7's in Vero Beach, Sanibel/Ft. Myers, & Ocala, with a CP for a move from 93.5 to 93.7 in Key West.

Occasionally, there are pirates operating on IBOC frequencies (94.1 came to mind about a year ago).

Anyone else with an explanation?
Your dial cord slipped and the display needle is out of alignment with the tuning capacitor ???
