93 BLX Mobile

Anyone notice that 93BLX is starting to play good music? Last night I heard Phil Collins In The Air Tonight and double checked to make sure my dial wasn't on 93.3 (COAST)
Sure enough it was BLX.

Are they losing their main target audience?

-Rob

It was a Old Skool Trak I bet.

If BLX has "good" ratings...Why would you say if it's audience is losing it's main targets?

I'm sorry, I live in the Mobile/Pensacola area....What is going on that Is interesting? This what I think 93 should do in order to get it's audience back:

Take out Nick at Nite, "the Krunkmunster" If you have heard, he is getting annoying....

They need more D.J's (Weekened wise)

A More HIP HOP Selection..STOP PLAYING SLOW R&B MUSIC...THEY HAVE 98.3!!

Basically, that's it!

Thoughts?

Can 98.3 be heard in pensacola? I can't hear it out here. (30 miles form the city)

There's also 106.1

No. WDLT-FM does not have any coverage in Florida but it does hit part of the Mississippi coast.

A question for anyone in Baldwin county. Do WDLT-FM and WRRX (Magic 106) have the same format?

First of all, Magic 106 cannot be heard in the Baldwin County. You can bearly hear like Coast 93.3 FM.

And, the formats are similar.

BLX is on point with their Hip-Hop... but they play waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many R&B slow songs. Just my opinion.

Exactly....stop playing Ciara and the R&B artist.

And there radio station is not Hip-Hop type. It looks like a Classic Soul/R&b station format.

Need to fix that. Hello theres is WDLT-FM~~~

Both WDLT and Magic 106 mirror each other well--both are owned by Cumulus, both clear The Tom Joyner Morning Show, and both play very similar music (though Magic seems more 'classic' heavy).

Last time I heard 'DLT, blues was an active part of their playlist. Does Magic do the same?
