What are the "you" jingles....do they have catch line?
I was on the air doing mid-day news at 93 KHJ in the waning days of Top 40, when Rick Dees was doing mornings. Even though the Boss Radio days were long gone by 1980 (although we still had the likes of Bobby Ocean on the air), it was always a rush to be on the air and hear those melodic jingle singers intoning, "93 K-H-J, Los Angeles!"
The Johnny Mann singers did many of the jingles and their website seems to indicate that Johnny Mann is very concerned about unlicensed use of his jingles online, so perhaps that's why they are hard to find.

The "You" series jingles were produced by TM and used on KHJ and the other RKO Top 40 stations in 1976 & 77, possibly as early as 1975. If I'm correct, KFRC used them till the later 70's as well. The main phrase was, "We do it for you on 93 KHJ!" also "You and KFRC!". They were wonderful jingles sought after by many collectors. The RKO stations also used jingles made by Pams, most notably the "Energy 1" series from around 1974. TM also produced The "Winning Score" package for KHJ, but if I recall correctly they were never used as by that time PD John Sebastian was stripping KHJ of just about all it's personality.

The first update (late 1970-ish) added Humble Harve, as Morgan had left for Group W's WIND, Chicago. Other RKO stations (KFRC, WRKO, CKLW, WHBQ) used their own in-house talent to voice the script.
It's highlights of the original 1969 version that Jacobs is offering on CD.
