93 Rock: Maybe I just have bad timing?

For at least the last two months every time I turn that station on in my car I'm always catching one of three Red Hot Chili Peppers songs, one of four Metallica songs, or some other golden clunker from Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd or Skynyrd. I'm serious, this happens every time I tune in. Is it just a coincidence or is their playlist really that limited? It's starting to sound a hell of a lot like Zeta did when it was choking on its last few gasps just before the flip to Mega.

Oh yeah, also Green Day and Guns 'n Roses. Can't forget about them.

This is the MOST BORING STATION EVER!
The same songs over and over... this is not a pop staton!
Liner jocks... no talent.
If I only wanted to hear music I could listen to my Ipod in my car all the time.
The only reason to listen to the radio is to be somewhat entertained or informed in between songs.
Program Directors are killing their own product by having no content. Even an entertaining voice track is better than a live nothing.
I don't care that "business X" is rocking on the job. Give your stations some "personality". I gave up listening to this station after about a week. Periodically I check back, give it an hour, and if I haven't fallen into a coma, I stop listening for another few months.
What a great idea putting Bubba on in the morning... why don't you take a show, and a host that bitches about the idiot on WFLZ in the morning and air him in south Florida. Better yet, that show will only talk about south Florida when there is something they see on line in the Sun-Sentinel or Miami Herald.
To sum it up, horrible programming + horrible jocks = economic radio = decline in listeners.... the only thing semi-good coming out of Cox Communications in Miami - Coast HD2 80's channel - and even that is getting a little repetitive.
The Miami radio market is total garbage, if you entertain people, they will come back... music isn't enough!

I can't speak for any of the urban stations because I don't listen to them, but speaking for the ones I listen to regularly I can't name a single jock besides Gnarly on Coast and Doc Reno on Big. Why? Because they have actual personality. And 93 Rock? They might as well have Stephen Hawking reading the liners between tracks and spots because their jocks are so interchangable and boring. You know, maybe I'm a little old fashioned but it seems to me that if you have a host with actual personality and the audience likes the host enough, they might actually go out and patronize the business and services endorsed by said host and the station might stand to make a few bucks. If you want to get down to actual dollars and cents why don't stations who have actual live jocks in the building hire ones who can endorse something besides the station website and get results?
