93Q

Anyone heard anything about 93Q and either a format change or a change in formatics? My wife was listening to them about 620ish and she heard the station" thanking everyone for supporting the New 93Q, and that a 'new' station would debut on Saturday the 16th".

Can it really be a format change, or perhaps just getting rid of the term 'new' in their positioning?

a quick check of their website ..says this: ERROR

Whether or not ya'll down there are having a format switch im not sure (im in Chicago) but I tried on both Firefox and IE 7 and same result given... :'(

Probably nothing. Just new imaging or probably a change in lineup.

Or if you want me to start a new rumor, then ladies and gentleman, I give you Country Legends 92.9 ;D, nah, that's too much. I'll stick with my first suggestion of probably a new line-up.

It will be........The Brand New 93Q! :D

One format just came to mind! Lite Rock! Sunny is all alone there. You might have a shot?

If there is a change?

No problem with the website. It's still country and it's still the New 93Q as it has been since the early 1990s.

They will probably play nothing but Kenny Chesney all day and change it to 93Chesney or something. Or maybe they will drop the "new" to their slogan since they are well over a decade old.

Pretty exciting stuff.(Yawn) I'm going to bed; 2AM comes early. Besides, this gives me the opportunity to make post #900.

Maybe it will be getting rid of the slogan "The new" and just say "93Q"

I am guessing that nobody is falling for the smoke screen. I think Chuck has it right. This may give them a reason to put the Brand New 93Q on the monikor. In other words a hoax!

The 16th is the day that Kenny Chesney comes to town. I would assume they have specialty programming planned.

If he is coming to Houston then they're probably trying to find a way to tease the listeners. For example when he came here to Colorado a few years back a station did something similar to that but it turned out to be a contest to to win Kenny Chesney Tickets.

They're basically playing Chesney's Greatest Hits CD on a loop mixed in with post greatest hits and the others that are going to be at the concert tonight. At 5:32 they are playing "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy" again.

93k with 93q promos...lame is a good word for it. I guess they will be the Brand New 93Q after this hoax.
