93X

I don't like a lot of the music they play so that is going to be a problem in getting me to consistently listen to them. I like the old school stuff so there really isn't a station that completely satisfies me. However, I would listen to them a little more often if the signal wasn't so bad.

WHOA-CHI-MOMMA!

lets hope they can dig themselves out...

hey if you guys are interested, my morning show is sounding REALLY, REALLY good...

i kiiiiiid, i kiiiiiiid....

lots of love for my peeps in memphis... here is to hoping MFS can turn it around!

miss all of you guys!

I'm astounded that Infinity/Entercom has let this happen. They're the ONLY modern rocker in town. There's no excuse to have anything less than a 3.0 share, even with the small stick.

That station used to pull a 3.8, 3.2 consistently. While not "huge" numbers, good enough for a small signal that covers the city.

I have some great memories of that station while growing up in Memphis...too bad it sounds so bad now.

Bad voice guy, bad morning show, bad mix of music.

Someone needs to save Memphis's only modern rocker...

has anyone taken into consideration the fact that the ratings by phone are done by land-lines?

and wouldn't one think that alot of the 93X listeners had only cell phones as their main source of communication?

...plus, isn't it illegal for them to call cell phones to get in touch with those listeners, so those numbers never get averaged in?

it just seems like using those ratings to judge a station's quality in this situation would be a little off...

just an observation.

congrats to the stations with big numbers!! great job guys! ;D

Am I missing something?

To my knowledge, ratings aren't done over the phone. Arbitron has a (highly unscientific) diary system which is being replaced by the people meter (PPM) in some markets.

Call out research is done over the phone, but not ratings.

I'm almost sure that the advent of cell phones isn't the reason for 93X sucking.
