94.1 not worth wating for

Sombody must have said: Hey let's play all the burned out or wimpy sounding late 60's and '70's songs we can find. Not much worth listening to here guys, nice try...well not even a nice try.

They also did this with their 80's music a few years back. I can't listen to it out here. Can someone record an aircheck and post it on the forum?

Mike, give 'em a few days to get their game on. A change from any other format to oldies requires an entirely different mindset. (I have some knowledge of this, ya know) They have some REALLY talented folks in the house, and I'm certain you haven't heard their best offering yet. Remember that half of the oldies presentation is the personalities, and this week it's just a jukebox, so there really is a lot missing. Next week will be much better.

They sounded a little better on the way to work tonight. But I hope they lay off the songs the A/C stations have played into the ground.

Okay now any station that plays "What Becomes of The Broken Hearted" is okay with me, I'll give them a chance.

I know they have to play some '70's but please none of the following:

No Billy Joel. no Elton John, no England Dan and please if you must play Jimmy Buffet play something other than Margaritaville!

It was nice to hear Simon & Garfunkel. There is a ton of big hits from the '70's which never get played anymore.

I also heard them play Boogie Oggie Oggie which both Charlotte A/C's have played into the ground.

Gary if you are hinting that Boomer is coming I'm all for that. I don't know him but I always enjoyed his show on Magic 96.1.

With both Charlotte A/C's into Christmas music this is a good time to launch and oldies format.

No, wasn't hinting. last I heard, Boom had decided it was time to get a real job.

Has the entire airstaff (except Bob, of course) been given the boot? I understand they're running jockless.

Can anyone post an aircheck or clip or something? I'm anxious to hear what it sounds like ;)
