Been replaced with 88.1 for my Sirius. For the time I actually did attempt to listen to David Weave Roth, he made big Mama and the Wild bunch look like radio stars. Bowzie bowzie bop, have you met my uncle?
So, since no one has posted, here is my review of the first two days of Stern:
Pretty unremarkable. The article in the Inquirer today was accurate. It's very close to his traditional show. I have laughed very hard for a period of time each morning this week on my commute. George Takei is absolutely hillarious, and Artie Lang as well, the two should form a comedy team. The fowl language is no worse than what you would hear in a casual lunch meeting amongst friends.
Where the new "freedom" is in full effect is with the sexual references and descriptions.
As for Sirius as a content service, very good. I am impressed with the number of rock and sports options.
So, is Sirius "worth" the $100 for the unit and $12 a month? In my opinion, as a 25-54 male, with the sad, sad, sad, did I say sad? state of affairs in Philadelphia Radio where Q102 is playing more modern rock than WMMR and WYSP COMBINED (during the day), yes, Sirius is worth it, to me.
And, I am not joking about that Q102 is playing more modern rock than WMMR and WYSP combined - there is a girl that sits within ear shot of me who has Q102 on all day long...and there are a number of times where I hear something and I have to think about what station she is listening to.
