94.1 Translator flipped to English Christian iHope Radio

Heard them mention “iHope Radio 94.1 FM”. The RT RDS reads “BRINGING HOPE TO HOUSTON” & “IHOPE RADIO”. When my radio doesn’t decode the full text it makes me hungry when it says “IHOP”.

I don’t see this on an HD subchannel

I don’t know if it’s related but KCVE-LP that was La Nueva has been off the air since the last thunderstorm. The other day I noticed KCDF-LP was back on La Nueva after being off for several months.

60k a month without any work. Sounds like a good deal, they had been trying to get back on 104.5 for a while and since that is taken 94.1 was the next option after Guevarra lost his other 92.5 he had.

Wasn’t ihope already at 104.5 FM for a while?
Yes, about six years ago following the “Kiss 104.5” incarnation. I think it lasted around 18 months. There was discussion about it on this forum at the time, but I couldn’t find any of that during a quick search.

My car radio could just be screwy at the moment but the 94.1 signal does seem a bit weaker than before. Less interference when listening to the Willis translator and I actually heard some static in spots.

KCDF-LP is still La Nueva.

Hopefully they can lower it even more so it doesn’t go north past The Woodlands on 45. I wonder if it’s still strong to the SE where there should be a null

Sometimes listening to it you hear dead air. Right now there's a song overlap their schedule. So you can really only here the song

I'm also confused by the statement. But I often hear dead air on there as well.

I guess what I was trying to say is that there was a song playing over their programming, and you could pretty much only hear the song. Hasn't happened in awhile but sometimes they play 80s 90s and top 40 songs but it seems to be at random times.

At the current moment there is nothing broadcasting like not even dead air. It's just acting like it was never a station to begin with. Picking up 94.1 KQXY from Beaumont, TX

The Translator of 92.5 ESPN has been very low too. Almost had to put the volume on my car all the way up.

The audio on parent KBXX HD-2 is also very low, thus the same on translator K223CW.

Speaking of K223CW, its sale from SDK Franco to Gow Media has now been stalled at the FCC for nine months.

I inquired about the matter and was informed that anything associated with Hector Guevara or Centro Cristiano De Vida Eterna is currently under investigation by the FCC. Anything with K223CW/K223DH, as well as K218EJ, is expected to take some time.

Well, now, keep in mind that President-elect Trump takes office in around 50 days. Ol' Hector (and his posse) may have already taken an involuntary bus ride back to Mexico by the time the FCC has concluded their investigation into his shenanigans on this side of the border. Unless there's a plan to shift these facilities to U.S. born family members, I would assume each one stands the risk of being revoked and his ability to hold any future licenses disqualified.

Before anyone gets all into a furor, that's not a political statement. That's a simple reality of what lies ahead, at least here in Texas. With the current sitting President in place, Abbott sent buses of illegals all over the country, on Texas taxpayers' dime.

Exactly what do you think our Governor is going to do once the next Commander in Chief basically gives him carte blanche to expel illegals as he sees fit?

Ok? What does this have to do with Radio?

First of all what makes you think he’s in this country illegally? Second of all even if he was illegally in this country. I don’t believe he’s Mexican.

He is the licensee of record for both full powered and secondary radio facilities in, and around, the Houston area. That's the connection to radio, amigo. As for the rest of your line of questioning, I would suggest you do your own research into the entirety of the saga that engulfs him.
