94.1 voice mailbox full....

so how the hell am I gona leave comments, reuqests on what I want from 94.1? Looks like nothing is going to change but maybe adjust the playlist alittle.

They are playing calls of people saying "don't change." Go figure.

Well isn't that easy. A big publicity stunt with no change from the PD. I'm sure there were very few calls that said don't change, but 94.1 made sure those few got on the air.

Doesn't matter how many people call in. BMP already knows which direction 94.1 is headed. My personal opinion, 94.1 will relaunch as KTFM focusing on Rhythmic 80's, 90's and some of Today's artists.

Posted by: MINDonDAradio247- if this is really a publicity stunt instead of a format flip, it sure isnt a creative one.
Yeah, not very creative. And they plan to keep this going for 3 weeks? ??? That's way too long.

I don't get it, though. Their ratings are good. Why would they want to change?

Now that I think about it, I dont even know who the PD is of KTFM. Is Robin Flores still doing her thing there?? Have all jocks been confirmed let go???

Thats great and all but it still doesnt answer my ?

i think that's what's going to happen. i heard a sweeper running saying something about them being "puro san antonio". didn't ktfm use that back in the day?

Yeah, when I was living there in the late '90's, the old KTFM was using "Pure/Puro San Antonio" as their catch-phrase. I thiought it was good at the time, but now it's more of a "been there/done that" scenario. It's nice that they are talking about using the KTFM calls more, but let's do something fresh with it. There's a reason the old KTFM isn't around anymore, so it would be wise for them to go in a fresher direction.

I'll co-sign on that. But this is the radio boards, people here loved that old has been of a station.

I think what you all forgetting is that the target demos will remain the same 25-54 females. Most of those people in that age group grew up listening to KTFM. So is it really a bad idea to bring back a station that most people in S.A grew with? NO. In fact, it makes sense to use and bring back the music the old KTFM used to play. I am hoping they add some of Today's artist such Fergie, Gwen, and Nelly Furtado.

And this is the problem with S.A. So many nights I wished it were more like Dallas. You dont really see them holding onto the memory of a station that no one wanted a mere 3 to 4 years ago. That is the problem with San Antonians. People dont want to stop living in the past. Afraid to move on.

Let this be a wake up people, the OLD KTFM is gone. Dead and gone. It isnt coming back.

There were times when I liked it too but those days are long gone.

Move on to what? Every radio forum you visit whether it's Dallas or L.A. there's complaints about there radio dial. Personally, I am satisfied with the S.A. dial. Could it be better..Yes! But that can be said about most markets including NYC.

i stopped listening to KTFM when they re-imaged back in the mid 90s. Lots of awful music was played that no one cares to remember anymore. THat was when I was listening to KSJL. Before the re-imaging, I was a hard core listener back in the late 80s to early 90s. KTFM is long gone. The last thing we need on the radio is more Fergie.
