Who else likes pirate stations? I like hearing pirate stations, I know it's illegal but it's super-interesting to hear other peoples' music collections on shuffle.
Back in early 2014 I heard this strong signal hippity-hoppin' close to downtown Austin on 94-3, complete with cuss words. http://sndup.net/7mnh/a
A couple months later I was there, and heard it playing the same style of hip-hop music mixed in with big band/jazz type music. Next time I came back up, however, it was down and it's been off ever since.
Maybe in October they can turn it on, because I'm not sure the two 94-3 LPFM CPs will make it. If the LPFM CPs expire, then back with the Kanye and Bill Black Combo!
Here are the two LPFMs.

The bottom one, according to one of the addresses on the app, used to be an illegal pirate on 95.9 in Austin. See http://www.radiodiscussions.com/showthread.php?651934-TAB-Convention
If the station is doing things right now they really should try getting the CP extended. Same goes for the first LPFM and all the others which are expiring soon in the Austin and San Antonio area.
