Was in Tyler today. Flipped over to 94.1 to see if the translator that Paulino Bernal held a CP to was on the air. I kept hearing trash on it and decided to go up one to 94.3. Lo and behold, there was a station on the air at 94.3 broadcasting Spanish Christian music. They also had sweepers/liners and jingles, although the production was a bit sloppy.
Checked the FCC database. The only thing listed there was the 94.1 translator and then the next thing listed was a translator CP at 94.7 licensed to Mineola.
Heard their signal from downtown Tyler east toward Chapel Hill, where it got lost in the noise.
Is this a pirate or illegal Part 15er? Seems as though I remember an application for an LPFM from Primera Asamblea de Dios in Tyler either in or around the 94mHz range, but it's not there according to the FCC database.
Anybody know what's going on or do we need to get Radi0chik down from Dallas to root it out?
