A major switch has happened in the Upstate. 94.5, WGTK (conservative talk) has switched formats, after Dabo Swinney, Clemson football coach, bought the station.
The station will now be known as 94.5 Dabo FM. Dabo will do a weekly show every Wednesday afternoon during the year from 2-4pm, and play country music most of the time.
The Clemson fight song will play at least once an hour on the new station, along with highlights from Dabo Swinney's football teams at Clemson. Dabo's motivational quotes will also play throughout every day. BYOG (Bring Your Own Guts) will be redone into song form. All press conferences done by Dabo will be aired live on 94.5, along with Clemson football games.
Scooter Lesley will host a morning show on the new station, playing his favorites. In order to get equal time, retired South Carolina football coach Steve Spurrier will also play a part in the new station, co-hosting with Lesley.
On days that Clemson wins a football game, happy music will be played on the new 94.5. On days Clemson loses, the station will sign off until the next day.
