94.5 in Henderson County?

Several years back, wasn't 94.5 to be allocated somewhere in Henderson County and eventually be auctioned off by the FCC to the highest bidder?

Good question, it was allocated to Smiths Grove. I heard through the rumor mill Henry Lackey was very interested but that was the mid nineties.

For those playing the home game, a long time ago 94.5 was allocated to Evansville as the landing place for one of the first FM's in the country. WMLL was the FM for WGBF. By the late fifties the owners felt there was no future to FM so they donated the license to......someone elaborate.....either UE or the school corp. So either WUEV or WPSR was related to this early FM.
