94.5 off air this morning

50 watts....amazing what range an exciter has as long as trees, hills and buildings don't block it. A few new tubes and presto, Carly Simon will be singing at full power.
 
Most the FB comments have to do with their (lack of) East of town coverage. I realize their pushing it just to have a signal at all, so I'm sure they're happy they reach as far as they do. How much to buy out WANT 98.9 since Salem won't let go of 94.1?
 
Is the 94.7 protection that is the real issue. Not like they need to push as far west as they do to sell anything, but it's more about bragging rights and it doesn't look bad on paper to show your signal in parts of Nashville. If Hippie could just move about five miles to the east....

Still, the signal pushes amazingly well for a Lobelville move-in, tweaked.

So is anyone noticing how clean and crisp Hippie is sounding and covering better toward Mt. Juliet?
