94.5 on the air

I listened to the station at the base of the Richland tower yesterday. It was crystal clear!
Tonight I drove the signal from Douglasville to S Hairiston Drive in Stone Mountain. The signal is multipath free......much better than 107.9. While the signal strength may be lower some of these translators have an amazing lack of multipath interference and in a car are much easier to listen to than some of the full power signals.
I have not tried it up north but everywhere I have listened so far it's been one of the best translator signals - on par with 97.9.

Static free in Conyers at West Ave.

How is it where I live of of Briarcliff that all the other translators are clean as a whistle, 94.5 is completely un audible??????

It's because the stations right near you, 92.9, 94.9, etc are blocking it out.

I guess, but it is no where near the same as 97.9 signal...Not my music anyway...no loss to me anyway. Thanks...

It could be something as simple as the orientation of your receiver antenna. There are many variables involved with picking up "music out of the ether".....far too many to talk about here.
I can pick up 94.5 in the Shepard Construction (Richland Tower site location) yard clearly. The signal is listenable in that area on most radios.
The signal is pristine in every part of Atlanta I have traveled to this week. I understand that towards Marietta/Acworth it is not audible due to Calhoun. Someone mentioned they could hear a weak signal in Suwanee, to the northeast. The Manchester 94.5 would probably start causing issues when you head towards Newnan. All in all it seems to be one of the better translator signals.
