94.5 The Hawk

WOULD THIS BE "THE HAWK" or "WPST" because 94.5 is NOT "THE HAWK" anymore as of 2/14/05.....

Opps... it would be 97.5 the Hawk.

I'm a bit hesitant to think what this might mean for the future of "The Hawk." If the time comes when there is no more "Hawk" it would be like a New Yorker losing their "Oldies" all over again. Like their sweeper says: "The Hawk MY Radio Station!"
LOL...

102.9
105.7
104.3
99.9
All 4 play the same stuff as 97.5

Well lets consider that in North Jersey I would be lucky to get 1 (ONE) of those stations clearly...WAXQ. Even if I had 5 stations to choose from I'd still take "The Hawk" over "Q-104.3" any day!

JMO...

99.9 The Hawk comes in pretty well in North Jersey.

>>99.9 The Hawk comes in pretty well in North Jersey.<<

A lot of people consider Bergen, Hudson, and Passaic Counties to be North Jersey, and all you get there at 99.9 is WEZN from Bridgeport, Ct. A lot of people consider Newark to be North Jersey, and all you get there at 99.9 is a Spanish language pirate.

What about Hackettstown, Belvidere, Bridgewater and all the other places that 99.9 The Hawk comes in perfectly fine? That's certainly not South Jersey.

True, but Bridgewater is considered "central" Jersey (I work less than a mile from one of the borders of Bridgewater) and I've always heard Hackettstown and Belvidere referred to as being in "western" New Jersey.

Here's the actual border between East New Jersey and West New Jersey, from 1688:
