94.5 The Vibe web/logo change...

I've noticed Mitch Craig was gone about a week ago when I listened via radiotime. But I do know where Mitch can be heard soon at another dance station :X

They're doing better and better in the Vegas ratings. Let's hope they can land some major clients and club gigs and start turning a profit soon. I hope it's still around next time I go to Vegas, whenever that may be.

I believe they used that jingle package just before the current ones. I really thought the previous imaging was HOT. Completely went with the whole image of the station as well as the old Logo. Wish they would have kept what they had - it is an extremely great station with so much potential - the old logo and imaging completely made the entire package.

Where did you find this jingle package, by the way?

Not sure how long it's been like this but the really bright red 94.5 The Vibe logo is now gone as is the www.vibevegas.com website.

New website is www.945thevibe.com and only allows you to launch a player to listen, nothing else.
New logo is much "less" I guess you could say. I like the red one better.

Also does anyone know if The Vibe ever used this jingle package that was made for them?

Cool logo. I hadn't noticed the change, but I actually like the new logo. The old one was kind of "old school" looking, and the new one looks very modern and reminds me a lot of European station logos. (kind of reminds me of Galaxy in the UK, etc.). I think it fits with the image of the dance format, which many people associate with Europe anyway. But I like it, since it's different and stands out from typical U.S. station logos.

Also, I love Mitch Craig, but I can't complain about the new sweepers either. I heard St. John (from Movin 99.7 San Fran.) doing new sweepers for the station and they sounded great. I've always loved the energy level that St. John puts into his voiceovers, and I've always thought more stations should use him. His over the top style may irritate some, but to me it has always just screamed "party".

I was in Las Vegas this past weekend. While I agree the station sounds great, a station on 94.7 kills Vibe's signal. They really need to fix that.

what is 94.7?? I'm not finding a listing for it in Vegas. I'm also seeing that only 2 stations have transmitters at the top of the tower, and those are 105.7 an 107.9.

I'm heading to Vegas next month and hope to get some airchecks of this station, but usually I use my walkman but if the signal isnt strong enough, thats not gonna work.

edit: errrr maybe this is it: http://www.radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/finder?sr=Y&s=C&call=K234ai broadcasting from the south in Sloan Nevada. Only 10 watts.
