Since I'm not the one looking for the scoop anymore, I'm deferring to the people in the know. Maybe the CCRC knows.

Anyone have a ballpark date for the changes at these stations? I was thinking the sale of the 94's would be completed around now.

I'm thinking of recording them for the Format Change Archive here at Radio-Info.

I'm also thinking of recording some ID's for TopHour.Net, but I'm kinda waiting until these changes happen, whenever that would be.
______________

This deal is pretty complex. It was all tied together
at the beginning but with four different parties
(Dowdy, Citadel, Guaranty, Gisclair) all having to
work separate deals it got messy.

The FCC freeze is not helping either as it will effect
some of the changes.

Right now the 94.7/94.9 deal is approved and has gone
past the 45 day period so it can close anytime.

106.1 should be ready to go in the next week or so.
Citadel could either wait 45 days after that, close,
or take over the LMA. I doubt they will want Dowdy
to run it after he closes on the 94's.

100.3 will take a bit. They need to build out the CP.
Hard to say if Citadel will want to wait or LMA it
and at least get it on.

There is one more piece to the puzzle that should fall
into place soon. That should help get this moving.

Of course the latest rumor mill has the Entercom/Citadel
deal back on the front burner so who knows what that will
do to this. They'd have to spin off part of the cluster
but it make look different. Entercom/Citadel could make
a case that 106.1 (Picayune) and 100.3 are not N.O. stations
and try to keep them. The attorneys are making big bucks
on this deal

94.7/94.9 will not be country. that is just a rumor. they will be classic hit rock much like 104.7 was. dont know about the rest. nothing will happen until all this is approved by the fcc. i would look for them all to change the same day. as citadel will move the gospel to another frequency.

94.7/94.9 Closed last week

The 94.7/94.9 stations now belong to Dowdy. They closed last week.

Hopefully, if/when they stunt, they choose at least one of these two songs:

"Hurricane Party" by Cowboy Mouth
"Rock You Like A Hurricane" by The Scorpions*

* When 93.7 in BR went from Oldies to Rock, they played 2 songs, and this was one of them. It was noteworthy because Hurricane Lili had just hit between BR and Lafayette, which 93.7 serves.
______________

Re: 94.7/94.9 Closed last week

So I take it guess of the week is if Citadel and Dowdy will flip their new stations at the same time or what... (citadel and 106.1 /Dowdy with 94.9/94.7)

So anyone know what Citadel will park on 106.1? Some say the gospel from the 94 stations, Big Tymer asked if the end would end up there...anyone got any ideas?

Cause right now,in the interim, I say Citadel parks praise on 106.1 waiting on 100.3 with Dowdy taking over control of the 94 with the classic hit format (unless he could be "jacking" with us)

Lemme Add A Little Somethin'-Somethin'

106.1's been a ghost station all day today. Just music and liners, as well as Tony Doherty's weather updates. No commercials, no Twins, and none of that chick who says something during middays and afternoons (I think her name is Alyssa or something?)

I doubt Cindy knocked it up.

If I were a betting man, I'd bet on something happening Friday.
______________
