The CP application for the WOR tower site was filed the same week that the sale to Entercom/Audacy was filed. So they were certainly involved in it.
Shouldn’t, in theory, the increase to 40kw improve building penetration?Maybe. The new tower is 130 feet shorter than the one in West Orange.

WFUV is 47kw from The Bronx. The signal was so bad they had to install boosters in Manhattan. Is that an option for WXBK?
But the power increases significantly. Remember, a Class B is 50 kw at 500 feet (well, it's now in meters...) or its equivalent. The Empire State Building stations in the 6 kw range are equivalents, with lower power and greater height.Maybe. The new tower is 130 feet shorter than the one in West Orange.
It’s a combination of both. WQXR 105.9 transmits from Empire but they have 610 watts. Their signal travels less than the full power 6KW stations.I have a question could a station have high antenna height and lower power and get a strong signal or do they need a high power and high antenna for a larger signal radius of signal power?
