It's in Bronson, Michigan (near Kalamazoo) per the network site: http://www.effectradio.com/ . The calls aren't listed there, but they're WCVM, apparently.

That would be WCVM, Bronson, MI. It's mostly an automaton, but every once in a while I'll hear someone on the air. Whether it's live or VT'd, I don't know. They operate with 4kW, and their tower is just south of the Michigan/Indiana state line. Not sure which county in Indiana that is... it's south of Branch County, MI, west of Angola, IN. As for what the Tabernacle thing was all about, I couldn't tell ya.

> 107.7 WRKR Kalamazoo area

Just for your records, WRKR is licensed to Battle Creek.

> 95.5 CHR, presuming Detroit

WKQI Detroit. 100kW at 427 feet above average terrain... I can get it all the way out here in Hillsdale County, full stereo and no static.

> 94.9 station carrying "Flashback"

Possibly WMMQ in East Lansing. 50kW at 492 feet above average terrain. Don't know if they carry Flashback or not.

> 93.7 Heard a second religious station with WFCJ, WFRR?

I've heard this one too... not quite sure what the calls are, though.

> 93.5 WRQN, Toledo area

Again, for record keeping purposes, WRQN is licensed to Bowling Green, OH.

> 92.9 WNDV "U-92" w/ Weekly Top 40

That'd be out of South Bend.

I still haven't been able to figure this one out... it seems different every time I tune it in, leading me to believe I'm getting several stations competing with one another. None of them are strong enough to get a clear ID on at any time when I listen.
______________

Thanks for the ID on "The Effect" WCVM. I typed from memory this morning, I thought I knew all the COL's but the way many stations hop accross the map and change them, wasn't sure WRKR was still Battle Creek or WRQN hadn't "moved" to some town with a population of 200!

It was easy to ID the Indy stations Sunday morning, most were carrying the Brickyard 400 preview.
______________

You're right... my mistake. My mind was on WKFR at the time.
______________
