Wow. they just tweeted "And you thought we were going Alternative? " Kind of a dick thing to say.

That is definitely NOT class, basically "slapping the face" of alternative fans.

Which then begs the question....will the calls change again very soon? If they landed WRXP as a "tease" leading up to this moment, I can't see them keeping those calls. Not that calls means anything anymore outside of us radio "geeks" :) but it's just a wonder.

But seriously......how can anyone really think they were going alternative?? Cumulus=Country. I said that 3 months ago.
The brilliance of this switch!

Are we now posting just to see how far we can stretch a thread?

I think the positioning as America's Country Station is smart. Nash-FM may take some massaging, but it'll work. Thus far, the music rotation shows breadth, with the biggest Country hits and re-currents and "new classics" that most soccer mom's and dads will recognize. The on-line stream sounds surprisingly good too.

I hope Harold Camping is enjoying that $$$ Cumulus gave him for the station. The "world" has ended for him and NYC can now hear country on a big-city FM. I only wish they're gone completely from the city and his apocalypse-lovers forced to listen online.

That is NOT the real twitter feed!

REAL: https://twitter.com/nashfm947

FAKE: https://twitter.com/947nashfm

Actually, that is on the official Twitter feed. It's the one being followed by a lot of Cumulus brass.

https://twitter.com/947nashfm

Wrong. It was on their website. http://www.nashfm947.com/ look at share and discover.

They must have two Twitter feeds. The one I posted was on their site earlier.

I have a friend over and he is complaining that I have this on lol. I'm not a Country fan but this is not as bad as one would think.Country has really mainstream itself. I see why it does so well.

Nash FM Twitter fakes

Looks like @947NashFm and @NashFM947 are both fakes. In fact. @NashFM947 wasn't even created yet when the launch happened- it is now and it sure doesn't look official. Neither of 'em do. Oops??
