94.7 WRXP HD and 94.5 WPST

Is anyone in Monmouth, Middlesex, or Somerset counties noticing reduced coverage of 94.5 WPST due to the new HD signal from 94.7 WRXP? Symptoms will sound like additional static or hiss in areas you normally heard WPST without issue. HD digital noise can easily be mistaken as a poor signal from WPST.

I knew that if 94.7 ever implemented HD, it would likely cut into the northeast areas of WPST's primary analog coverage area.

I was able to hear some noticeable digital noise on WPST when i tuned it in near Walmart in North Brunswick.

Yes I did. I switched my preset to 94.5 when 101.9 went sports. But once I couldn't pick up 94.5 anymore, I figured there was no choice but to change my presets again. I have my fingers crossed for rock to come back but if they go country, it's still better than yet another Top 40. Evidently, the engineers at Cumulus are doing a good job (unlike the ones at Merlin when 101.9 went back to rock). My guess is that I can never hear 94.5 with a decent signal again until I drive to South Brunswick.

Even here in the Northern end of South Brunswick on my Honda's Radio I get a bit of a background on WPST since 94.7 went to HD.

yes theres reduced coverage due to the 94.7 hd signal now i can even pick up the hd signal at my house in bucks county on 94.7 looks like they using max of 10% digital power :)

i was hearing picket-fencing and interference on WPST's signal below Exit 8 on the NJ Turnpike this morning. being how short-spaced WPST and WRXP already are, it's absolutely unfathomable to me that 94.7 would be allowed to run their HD at the 10% level. does anyone at the FCC ever pay attention anymore to what's happening on the dial?
