94.7 York Maine

I heard a station on 94.7 in York today playing pop music and repetious enviromental PSA's calling themselves Q 94.7.Is this a pirate?
 
I heard a station on 94.7 in York today playing pop music and repetious enviromental PSA's calling themselves Q 94.7.Is this a pirate?

It MIGHT be WQNH-LP from Deerfield, NH.....they only run 3 watts, but they're on the WENH-TV (Channel 11) NHPTV tower. Their "coverage" to the west is about nil (WNHN-LP in Concord is also on 94.7, running 45 watts),
but to the east they have a pretty clean shot to the seacoast.
WQNH DOES run pop/adult mi music -- but they recently lost their stream service (Stream Licensing went under.....) and currently are relying exclusively on OTA for listeners!

I'm surprised WHOM 94.9 didn't object to this LPFM.
