94.9 I LOVE THIS STATION

Why in the name of all things would they do that in Brockton? Why please tell me why?

My former coworker lives there, as well as my twin sister former coworker. When I went to that area, I can get HOT 106.3 Crystal Clear. So why have the same type of music on a pirate.

There's also 96.3 The Rose from Cape Cod which is simulat to KISS 108, but has a much wider variety, and is way better than KISS 108, as well as 92 Pro FM. All three are good (HOT 106.3, 96.3 The Rose, and 92 Pro FM)

If anyone live in Brockton area, please tell me, do you also get HOT 106.3 down there. I also got it driving through Avon, Ma (as a matter of fact, I start picking it up in parts of Brookline, Ma when I am driving (Brookline/Newton) area going west/southwest. You should be able to pick it up in Needham, and Natick areas?

Hot 106 come in clear in the Brockton Area , 96.3 the Rose ( I LOVE This Station ) come in clear on a Hot summer night in The Brocton Area, Otherwise spotty to no signal .

Regarding 96.3 The Rose, same here @Rapking, same here in Revere area, sometimes I get 96.3 excelent at night, especially in the summer, and on a clear night. Same here, I love that station as well

so what's the best thing that's on this 94.9? Which one do you like personally?
Big playlist on 94.9 ( not the same old songs being played over and over on Jamn ).

Not so Hot....106 in Providence

It's funny how Hot 106 comes in better in Brockton than it does in parts of Providence. Their signal is greatly weakened by the adjacent 50,000 105.1 (Lite Rock 105) signal. Within a 5 mile radius of the Lite Rock 105 tower on Neutaconkanut Hill in Johnston, Hot 106 does not even scan and is fair at best on a car radio, and can barely be heard on a portable radio. This includes the west end of Providence and the east end of Johnston. I laugh now when I remember the old school days when it was Kix 106, and they would say "Beaming down from the Hospital Trust Tower!" (one of the 2 tallest buildings in Providence), when in reality their tower was in Cumberland, RI. Even then they still had the same reception problem. Hot 106 should promote thier station in the Brockton area and also other urban areas like Woonsocket, Attleboro, and Taunton, where they can be heard well. I remember Hot 97.7 (transmitter near Brockton at the time), which could be heard well in Providence, used to advertise Providence area night clubs, like the now defunct Star's night club in Johnston. Hot 106 will always have a disadvantage not having a strong signal in the vicinity of the Lite Rock 105 tower. Other then that area, Hot 106 can be heard clear throughtout most of Rhode Island, but Jam'n 94.5 also covers a lot of ground and can reach down to Newport and Exeter. I always wondered if Hot 97.7 was competing with Hot 106, rather than Jam'n 94.5 because of the many Providence area clubs that were advertised. I think Hot 97.7 may have thought that it would have been easier to compete with Hot 106 than Jam'n, which has had consistant high ratings. As we saw, Jam'n was hardly affected Hot 97.7FM. Funny thing is, Hot 97.7 at the time, had signal issues in Boston, just like Hot 106 does in parts of Providence.

If you think Jamn and 1090 suck, why don't you buy time on a station and run your own program a few hours a week?
With all these great pirate on around The Boston Area, I dont need to buy time on a station . Jamn is Avg., Radio One 1090 SUCKS, 93.7 Mike FM is everything that wrong about todays Radio ( MIKE SUCK ). WBOS SUCKS ! Kiss is Avg. Most of Boston legal music stations SUCKS . Now here whats Good in New England. 96.3 The Rose is GREAT ! Fun 107 is GREAT ! 94.1 WHJY is THE BEST ROCK STATION IN THE U.S.A. Hot 93.7 The BEST HIP HOP STATION In AMERICA . 94.3 WYBC ( URBAN A/C ) is GREAT ! R.I.P. Red Hot Portland ME . PIRATE RADIO RULE BOSTON !

Look like this pirate station is not 24 hours ( I cant pick it up in the morning but load and clear in the afternoon ).
