94.9 Little Rock

Website is now being updated, but....radio-locator.com has them listed as Alternative. Can't see thme doing that with the Edge there already. Must be a misprint. Now there are no other AC stations except B 98.5 and that is not a very good one. We shall see how Gospel works on 94.9

Radio-locator.com is not the most reliable of sites. I've seen stations that have changed formats long ago still listed under their old formats.

Based on trends in other cities, I think Hallelujah will do very well in the ratings. However, most Hallelujahs are having or have had revenue problems. Nevertheless, I expect them to be around for a long time to come. <P ID="signature">______________

May be, but they sure stomped Mix into a mudhole, didn't they?!

The KHLR calls were previously on an alternative station in College Station, TX. Radio-locator seems to base all of its data sets on call letters. Thus, when it changed the call letters of KMSX to KHLR, the data from "103.9 The X" in College Station was transported to 94.9. It will take them a few days to change the data.

I gotta disagree on this one. The "B" AC format may not be sexy, but it's consistent and it sells.

Agreed!! B-98 is a good solid radio station.

I'm not a big fan of the "B," but I have to agree that it's doing what works and seems to be in tune with Little Rock. Mix 94.9 seems to prove what one of my former GM's once told me, which was that an upstart will never be able to knock off an established station on its own merit. He said the heritage station had to do something to screw up for the upstart to win. B-98.5 kept right on doing what it's always done and doing things the right way. I actually liked the old K-Love better (and I once set my alarm to the old KEZQ 102.9 and listened to it while getting ready to go to class at UALR in the mornings!). I still think Citadel made a mistake killing it.
