94.9 the sound doing well. What does everyone think?

I am pleasantly surprised how well the sound is doing seems to be doing better then 97.3 did.I really enjoy there mix of music not much of the active rock just the real popular tunes and some really cool old school music also.Someone knows what there doing ;D

What does everyone think of the station?

Later guys and gals

Well, I'm 15 so I really don't like The Sound as much as everyone else. I also wish Clayton didn't betray us down at 9-4-5. Well, I take that back, 945 has Dave & Jimmy so... much better from The Morning Mess. But anyway, staying on The Sound topic, it's ok... it will do well for awhile.

I think the Sound will do great. I mean, Tommy BoDean is a great PD with a TON of talent.

I personally think it's early. The road is long, with many a winding turns, that lead us to who knows where.

I usally get suprised ath songs they play when i an fliping channels on my stereo. I was very supriused to hear Billy joel and Elton john last sunday when i was at worrk on The Sound.

Rob,

I really hate to nitpick here, I know this is a board for the discussion of radio and I appreciate the fact that you're a young guy who's really taken an interest in radio, but please look into spell check.

Please.

Sup yall? hehehe

Looked through the monitors....no Elton John or Billy Joel on the Sound the past few Sundays........

the warehouse of the place i work switched over to The Sound, at least until 4pm when they switch over to Furman. personally, i like it too. it has a really nice blend of songs. at times i miss having a jock to tell me who the new artist was, but i've found that if i really like the song, i'm going to find the artist on myspace. i've noticed that my pals do that too. so, yeah, i'm not surprised it's doing well at all. no digitially-enhanced small ego voice to muck up the reason i'm listening: the songs.

94.9 needs a local morning show. Entercom had plans for one but that changed when they decided to swap with Bonneville.

i disagree. when i'm tired of all the yacking, i often flip over to 949 for some music. it's quite refreshing.

i totally agree. where is it written in the radio bible that you have to have someone yacking for four hours in the morning? i mean, if you got a good talent, that's one thing but i think that some stations just throw together a morning show because they think they have to do it.
