They've gone to interuppting the end of the songs with reminder announcements of the pending change. According to the announcements they're "pulling the plug" tomorrow.
 
I guess it will be Rock similar to 973 on shuffle. Any news on the new format on 949?



Entercom has legendary WAAF that could be a real competitor to WEBN.

Actually I think it's pretty hilarious, and it gets your attention.

"Sometime today" they're flipping. Or ending. Take your pick.
 
I know its going to be a rock format. I hear blurbs refering to classic rock music. So I guess the new format will have some classic rock songs in it.

Does it sound like we may be wrong about the rock format. From some of the blubs it sound like it may be a jack format more that I listen to it.
 
Yes, they are saying T minus 2 days. Sounds like a Mexican accent, too. Must be Spanish on the way. :D

My kids were arguing this morning. I'm using the countdown as punishment. It's on every radio in the house. At least it's better than 48 hours of Bawitdaba!

Sledge, are we going to hear you in 48 hours? You seem to be all over this post.
 
Did the Enquire say what the format might be? On a side note Thursday is my Birthday. What a great thing to happen on my b-day a new format on 94.9 It's like a pessent I was not exspecting to get and I hope i am glad i got it lol.
 
Speculation is that it will be AOR similar to WEBN. Although I don't want to get in trouble with LOCAL GUY, :p :p It probably won't be Movin or CHR :)
