94.9 WHOM Christmas Flip

I just checked 949whom.com and they've flipped to christmas. yes.com shows that WHOM flipped this morning, 11/23/2011, at 8:09am with Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree by Brenda Lee.

93.5 WCTB in Waterville/Skowhegan has flipped as well...it's been a couple years since they did the all Christmas thing (usually sister station Mix 107.9 has done it) but they used to every year when they were AC as "The River"

I found more Christmas flips in Northern New England. 100.9 WYNZ Portland flipped today at 12:00am according to yes.com with Snoopy's Christmas. 95.7 WZID Manchester also flipped today around 6am with Let it Snow! I also wonder if WERZ will flip to Christmas this year. Not that it matters to people in WERZ's coverage area because they have 4 stations that are already Christmas; WHOM, WZID, WODS and WROR.

I'm pretty sure that in past years, WZID has just flipped for the weekend following Thanksgiving, and maybe with Delilah at night, We may see that they're back to normal on Monday.

I know that WWWA (95.3 Winslow, covering Central Maine), its satellite station WFYB, and all associated translators from Portland to Houlton, have switched to Christmas music, from their usual Contemporary Christian format. Sister station WMDR (88.9 Oakland, covering Central and Southern Maine), its satellites WWLN and WHPF, and its translators are also playing a mix of Christmas and Country Gospel music.
