94.9's HD2

Hey all, I know that 94.9 Lite FM just changed to 94.9 the Bull. I just went to CC's website for all their stations that play in HD radio and have an HD2 station. Well they still hvae WLTM listed as the call letters for the station and it says that is is playing oldies. I clicked on the link and it took a bit before it loaded but it is still playing oldies. So doesthis mean theyt will keep the oldies format on that station? Give me your opinions.

All that tells me is that their techie/IT guys just haven't caught up yet. These are also the same guys who allowed www.bullatlanta.com to be accesible to everyone LONG before the station even flipped. Man, radio is such an ugly business.

As of right now, 94.9 HD2 is still broadcasting and playing oldies. However, I wouldn't put too much faith in its future with the history of other CC HD stations...

105.3 HD2 off the air after the format flip...it is now dead air but hasn't been deleted yet
96.1 HD2 off the air a few days after the format flip...it has been deleted and no longer exists

The same pattern has occurred in other markets where CC has shaken things up. Apparently, they have fired the only person that knows how to program the HD radio feeds. Eventually, the feeds will stop working since nobody is there to administer them.

You are 100% correct.

While I can understand why CC would change the HD2 stream on 105.3 with the flip to Regional Mexican there was no reason to delete the HD2 stream on 96.1.

I'm willing to bet the oldies on 94.9 HD2 will be gone in the next few days if not by the end of the week. I've already deleted and changed the presets on all of my radios that were set on 94.9 and when the oldies on 94.9 HD2 are gone that will be the end of Clear Channel for me.

While I like Country and agree that 101.5 needed competition I will continue to get my country from Kicks 101.5. CC has p****d me off for the last time.
