This station was off the air when I listened for it last weekend.
As it was the week before. What's the deal? Nobody wants to pay
Ten thousand a month for an LMA, so they turn the station off.
This company that owns WCND just got fined for no employees................

this was in Inside Radio.....

"FCC field agents visited Birach Broadcasting’s two Grand Rapids, MI stations — WMJH (810) and WMFN (640) — in April 2005 and found no Birach employees. When the FCC asked for an explanation, owner Sima Birach said he was overseeing the operations. But the Enforcement Bureau notes his office is in Rockford, MI – about two hours away. "

Now they have a $30,000 fine...

So does the FCC know WCND is off the air, plus where's the station located
or the public file? Anybody know?
 
WCND has been off the air for many, many months now.
 
There isn't a silent STA in force nor are there any applications for one.

After paying $300k for the station, you would think Mr Birach would want the station to start paying back on the loan.
 
I made a cash offer and he got greedy, tried to bump me so i walked.

BTW, 2 of his Michigan stations just got fined $30,000.00 for not having a manager present.

He has TBA's on these stations and pursuant to the laws, must have someone there, on his payroll, to oversee things.
