945 the fox

ok its 2:08pm and sunny and i am receiving 945 the fox panama city fl like its next door..this is how wrno could have been :(..why is it cc destroys every station here but in other markets makes them better?? the fox even played charlie daniels! anyway anyone else picking up the fox?? last night i was picking up california! well thats what the coommercials said anyway..never caught an id..btw the fox is clear..no static at all!

Clear Channel's Classic Rocker 96.1 "The Rocket" in Mobile has several Charlie Daniels songs in rotataion. Also, today appears to be a great day for tropo around the Gulf. From Pensacola I've been picking up 94.5 from Panama City as well as Tampa and Fort Myers stations all day long. I'm even getting a strong spanish station on 88.3. Since I can't find any stations on that frequency in the USA programing in spanish I assume it's comming from Cuba.

WYNK

Friday night, WYNK was blasting into the west side of Houston, my first "back home" catch on the FM dial since moving to Houston in January. My only other LA FM catch is WDVW on Galveston island, but it's probably due to the signal traveling over water most of the way. Also, I'd mention WWL-AM but it's a given.Steven

Friday I caught 94.5 the Buzz from Houston as clear as a New Orleans station on the bayou.. Morning had many coming in normally I should say from AlexandriaCharlie Daniels from the 1970s is considered a classic rock artist because he was a southern rocker when he first came out (mainly "south's gonna do it again","country boy can survive" and some expand into his country crossover with "Devil went down to georgia" and "In America"). Usually it's on stations that play classic hits/classic rock like WDGL 98.1 and the like... WRNO limited themselves more harder classic rockRFLA

Hey RFLA, did you get to listen to the Buzz? If so, what did you think of the music? Musically speaking, I believe it is one of the better sounding modern rock stations around (Buzz Atlanta is also good). Planet in Lafayette is not far away from being a great station either. They just need to drop some of the gold they have run into the ground and get some air talent.

Didn't get to listen to it, like I should to make a judgement.. about 30 minutes maxBut I enjoyed it more than The X out of Baton Rouge, but I do notice The buzz is into recurrants at times (the recurrants that unfortuneately I have grown tired of).. Probably as the Buzz is modern rock whereas the X aims more alternative at times?!?!Haven't heard KFTE (Planet radio 96.5 since about March (as it bleeds in under KBZZ 96.7 Morgan City)) I have a habit of listening to an overall presentation of a station and sometimes I won't like how a station is being presented and there are a few stations I feel that way even though I kind of like their DJs and/or music (unfortueately most of the New Orleans stations including all Citadel are on my list)RFLA
