I will be out in Vegas next week listening (driving the signal) and figuring out where the station is going to go. The need to find place to build a studio and by the way I Love spinning the hits over 120 spins a week

CHRles said:The biggest Dance record on the radio and on the charts right now in Europe is a song called "We No Speak Americano" by Yolanda Be Cool & DCUP. Huge summer record. The song's in Italian but it already topped the charts in Australia a little while back, and is currently at number one in the UK, Holland, and Denmark. Top 5 in New Zealand, Sweden, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, and Finland.

Here are some examples of missed dance songs that I think could have been hits....Kim Leoni Again...Plumb In My Arms....Kim Sozzi Feel Your Love.....Wynter Gordon Dirty Talk..... Happiness Alexis Jordan...Ercola Every Word...these songs over the past three years could have been huge!!!!!!!!
I spin at two clubs in Philly...right now peope are going insane for "Higher State" by Bailey featuring Jodie Connor...literatly for a month and a half every time I play this song people sprint to the Dj booth to ask me who sings it..I haven't ever had a bigger reaction to a song except GiGI Diagostino I'll Fly With You.
Ok so my point... "Higher State", in my opinion, would sound fantastic on CHR...will it ever get a chance...no!! Who's fault is that? the programmers? the Label?? I just don't get it!...ohhh wait let's get Akon or Ludacris to do a rap or verse in it then it will be a hit![]()

It's a fun song that sounds DIFFERENT yet fuses some trendy Dance elements in it. It's very very catchy, and it's been released at the right time for the masses to eat it up.
instigator said:I hate that record period...I can see how to some it would be catchy...I accept that arguement...Bottom line its a novelty record that will have as many people hating it as liking it...my previous examples of dance tracks that would better fit and have more longevity have not been mentioned please look on page three at my first post on this...no one has mentioned hat part of my argument...which is the biggest part.

I played that track around the time I left Urban Latino Radio (May). It was quirky and it didn't grab me at first, but when you consider how the track goes, with the basic "fist pumping Jersey Shore" element that can go with it, I could easily see this gettting play on CHR VERY soon. Give it next month while the track still has to "bubble"![]()
