947 QDR

I decided to stream 94.7 WQDR tonight here in Charleston.
cant believe they just gave a live temp check after midnight.
You guys are lucky to have a company like CMG.
Here we have 103.5 WEZL all tracked all the time, and we also have a local owned station for country but it is fully computer.

That's the way that radio should be done!

Of course the guy doing it was probably sitting in Winston Salem!

Nope Mr. Cranky Pants. Steve Marr, "live" overnights on QDR. There's reason it's the top billing station in the Carolinas.
QDR does it the way successful stations always have: the right music, good local jocks with content, community oriented, and good marketing. Yet, it's a very modern sounding Country station. It's a textbook on how to win.

I don't work there, but I used to work in the building. QDR is the real deal.

I would not be shocked. The "Triad Sports Network" has turned out to be the "Raleigh Sports Network". I know they run a lot of stations out of that Winston-Salem building. With the beauty of ISDN who knows how much live DJ'ng goes on in Raleigh.

Steve used to work for WKIX 96.1 back in the country days.
Think he also worked for them when it was WYLT.
and I do remember a time back in the late 90s when QDR went all tracked for a while.
I am glad CMG saw the light on that one.
I took a tour of the studio in 99 or 2000 and there was no one doing afternoons at that time.

QDR and 96Rock were all tracked and even shared jocks using different names in the late 90s/early 2000s. The stations sounded awful. What a change for the better we have seen!

For what I understand it's near 14 Mil/Yr.
