Direct link is mms://wmc1.liquidviewer.net/WPRV

Dont ask me why 94.9 the Sound can use the WPRV calls for its webstream when Supertalk 96.5's Stream also uses WPRV calls

Supertalk has new calls. Listen to the ID at the top of the hour.

IS that "Boom, Boom, Boom let's go back to my room..."?

Yes, that was #1 on Q-102's nightly countdown for weeks. It seems like it kept switching back and forth between "Boom Boom" and "Push It".

Well its kind of hard to listen to the over air signal over supertalk continuesly to know the call letters of the station. Since I live over 100 miles away from the 96.5 signal since i live in anderson Indiana. Im just going by how Entercom and Cumulus has their 94.9 and 96.5 signals listed for backdoor links.

That was an awesome song! But hey, who doesn't love a little Salt-N-Peppa, or even Kid n Play?

I've been listening online, and I like the mix. I'll confesss--I'm probably not the guy they are seeking at my age, but us older guys vividly remember our first jolt of FM rock (WOXR and WEBN)... God I loved the "Frog era"on 102.7... and Frank Wood's dad on the air with CLASSICAL music for a few hours on Sunday morning--I actually listened and purchased the "1812". 'Seems SOOOO much has changed, and "our hits" have been pared down to a list of 250... I'm NOT buying it, and I hope younger rock listeners will have a chance to enjoy a really good adventurous station. I had mine in my era--and I hope you do also! 94.9 seems to be off to a good start--thank goodness... Let's hope it doesn't digress to that "I drink a half-case every night after work 'n party" mentality that seems to have infested your local rock radio genre.

Then I'll make it easier on ya... the new calls are WFTK. To change the calls on a stream is an entirely separate matter, and since it's over the 'net the calls used make little difference. I would expect 94.9 to change that eventually, but it's small potatoes compared to launching two new stations in the same cluster.

It's a good station. It's a bit hit-oriented, but at the same time plays Modern Rock classics that a CHR wouldn't touch. They don't lean too hard like most Active Rockers, but play enough power-rock and harder alternative to satisfy people's tastes. I think this format stands a chance of working in other markets, like New York and Philadelphia.

Cincinnati radio really needed a good shake up. The station SOUNDS solid, relevant and broadly based musically. I know there is already a lot of talk about the station from people outside the biz. It will be interesting to see the line up of personalities entrusted to keep the message on track. Hope they maintain some promotional integrity and don't blow this opportunity to be different.

I'm liking it too. Was really expecting EBN jr., but didn't turn out the way. I'm really excited about how broad they are musically, but it seems to work. I wonder if they'll hire anyone locally for DJ's or if they'll bring people in?

It's a nice format, and clean execution.

We've been going it for two years now: www.wxryfm.org

(excuse the shameless plug).
Dudefan-Your shameless plug lead me to your station, which certainly looks interesting...and also looks significantly different than 94.9 The Sound. Yeah...some similar balance of different genres....but ultimately much different. Frankly, I like the approach of both stations.

I had a listen on Friday night, and love it. I am so jealous. There is nothing like it here in Australia. Where else could you hear Janes Addiction & then new Angel & Airwaves? I can't wait for the morning drive show to kick in, however I will be interested in who it will be.
