95.1 Off

They returned to the air about 9:30 or so, maybe a bit later.
Before and afterward, starting a few minutes after 8, KZLB made brief appearances with their disco/soul loop. (After all, the Drifters' Under The Boardwalk ain't exactly disco!)
None of KZLB's transmissions were longer than five minutes, and at least one ID was included.
The last KZLB transmission was shortly after 11.
Was Club 95's jock "live" at a downtown location, as claimed? I doubt it. There was no acknowledgement of a return to the air. This is nothing new in radio, but I've never liked the sterile sound of a station coming back from a multi-hour absence as if nothing happened.
Well, nothing did -- if you're voicetracked.
And bland.

I live in Tucson. On Saturday evening I went up to Phoenix partly to hear 95.1 and partly to hear 97.5. 95.1 was coming in very well in Eloy but I never was able to hear 97.5 (except for the one licensed to Oro Valley which is known as BOB-FM). 95.1 was programming a format that I'd call Mexican rap. Is 97.5 the one that's off the air?

Just for the record, the music is neither Mexican nor rap. It is mostly Puerto Rican, in fact. And it is called "reggaetón" which is a kind of tropical and hip hop derivitive that has been growing in the Caribbean for the better part of a decade.
